A house featured in the cult-classic "Home Alone" is for sale − but it's not the one where Kevin McCallister fought off robbers while his family vacationed in France.
The home on the market is located at 681 Lincoln Ave. in Winnetka, Illinois, which is to the left of the well-known McCallister home in the 1990 movie. The neighboring home makes a cameo in the franchise as the house of "Old Man" Marley in the first film. It is listed for $3.79 million, according to the listing on the real estate agent's website.
The three-story home features six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. It sits on two-thirds of an acre and has an in-ground pool, putting green and half a basketball court. There are several patios, a screened-in porch, balcony, two staircases to the second floor and in-law suite, per the listing. It was built in 1898.
Annika Valdiserri, broker for a Chicago-based real estate agency @properties, initially listed the home at $4.19 million in July, she told USA TODAY. Before that, the last time the home was on the market was in 2014, listed at $2.87 million. Valdiserri said the current owners have lived in the home since 2003.
Valdiserri said the listing is taking a "break over the holidays," meaning it will only be available to brokers, not available on consumer sites like Zillow, through the end of January.

The official "Home Alone" house, next door at 671 Lincoln Ave., was also listed for sale this year − $5.25 million in May. Coldwell Banker Realty broker Kathryn Moor confirmed with USA TODAY on Wednesday that the home is pending sale.

Home designed by legendary Chicago architect
For Valdiserri, more special than the "Home Alone" cameo is the fact that the home was designed by Chicago architect Benjamin Marshall. Marshall was known for his use of ornate and grandiose designs, which often features intricate details and luxurious materials, according to the Benjamin Marshall Society.
Marshall designed notable Chicago buildings like The Blackstone Hotel on Michigan Avenue and East Lake Shore Drive District, according to the Benjamin Marshall Society. He also designed hotels, residences, theaters and factory plants. Though the majority of his work was done in Chicago, Marshall also designed buildings in New York and Los Angeles.
Valdiserri said the home at 681 Lincoln Ave. is only one of two in Winnetka designed by Marshall.
